It was just a fine choice for a hurried visit in Near Sawrey with great value for money. Enjoyed breakfast while watching rabbits play on the croquet lawn—really nice touch. Be sure to book dinner in advance for a better experience.

The decor in the lounge was charming and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere to relax in after a day of exploring. The soft music and real fire made it a delightful setting for afternoon tea.
A few more seating areas would be helpful.

Beautiful Views and Excellent Dining
We had a fantastic stay, enjoying the stunning views over Esthwaite Water while dining on exquisite locally sourced meals. The room was cozy, and I particularly appreciated the powerful shower. the Wi-Fi connection could be improved for a more seamless experience.

missingWrote a review on Jun 27shower head
The shower head left much to be desired, and the bar's limited drink options were a letdown, especially when it closed at 7 PM. While the meals were nicely presented, the evening dining felt a bit on the lighter side, not suited for those after a hearty day's trek. A few minor plumbing glitches disrupted comfort in the room, and the television options could use an upgrade, leaving a sense of boredom during downtime.

Ideal Relaxation with Scenic Views
I gotta say, the lake view room was incredible, we woke up every morning to that stunning sight. The food was just top-notch, dinner was like something outta a fine dining place, not cheap but worth it.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but considering the overall experience, it was still okay.

A Quaint Escape with Stunning Views
I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay in the Four-Poster Room with Lake View. The ambience struck a lovely balance between modern and vintage. Dining options were interesting, but I wished for more menu variety. A must is opening windows to savor the fresh lake breeze.

The Four-Poster Room with Lake View offered stunning comfort and decor that exceeded expectations. Breakfast was a highlight, with excellent service and a well-planned spread. The peaceful surroundings made evening wine on the patio truly relaxing. the café nearby felt understaffed, leading to some awkward moments waiting to be seated, detracting slightly from the overall experience.

Plumbing issues need immediate attention!!! Some amenities seem outdated, and the bar selection is shockingly limited with early closing hours!!!

Stunning views of the nearby lake enhanced the experience in our room, outfitted with a beautiful four-poster bed. The four-course dinner was a highlight, with the steak precisely cooked to my liking and the complimentary canapés adding a little extra flair.
The bar closed at 7 PM, which felt a bit early for winding down after a long day. Our shower head was frustrating to use, not what I expected from such a setting, and the noise from neighbors was a bit distracting, showing that soundproofing could use some improvement. While the breakfast was decent, it lacked the variety I hoped for, leaving me wishing for a more substantial selection.
