It was just a fine choice for a hurried visit in Near Sawrey with great value for money. Enjoyed breakfast while watching rabbits play on the croquet lawn—really nice touch. Be sure to book dinner in advance for a better experience.

We had a fantastic stay, enjoying the stunning views over Esthwaite Water while dining on exquisite locally sourced meals. The room was cozy, and I particularly appreciated the powerful shower. the Wi-Fi connection could be improved for a more seamless experience.

The shower head left much to be desired, and the bar's limited drink options were a letdown, especially when it closed at 7 PM. While the meals were nicely presented, the evening dining felt a bit on the lighter side, not suited for those after a hearty day's trek. A few minor plumbing glitches disrupted comfort in the room, and the television options could use an upgrade, leaving a sense of boredom during downtime.

I gotta say, the lake view room was incredible, we woke up every morning to that stunning sight. The food was just top-notch, dinner was like something outta a fine dining place, not cheap but worth it.
